Description
It come from the hillside vineyards inland and north of Naples in the Sannio sub-zone of Campania’s Tauberno region. What makes Sannio so special for the old Roman Falanghina grape are the poor volcanic soils that limit yields (giving greater concentration) and adding a delicious layer of minerality. The 2019 edition serves up bold, expressive, scents of ripe apple, nectarine, mid-summer honeysuckle and ripe Meyer lemon. The flavors are generous and complex, too, with notes of pear and peach orchard fruit complemented by fresh orange and yellow citrus and salty stone mineral flavors.
